Why big pharma wants to be like big biotech
Plant-based drugs have been used by cultures around the world for thousands of years. Drugs based on chemical synthesis have been with us since the latter half of the 1800s. Now, the era of biologics—genetically engineered protein drugs made in living cells—is upon us.
