Boulder County (USA) panels to consider GM sugar beet crops
Two Boulder County advisory panels on Thursday are to discuss the pros and cons of allowing farmers to grow genetically modified sugar beets on land they lease from the county. Last December, six of the county’s agricultural tenants wrote the Board of County Commissioners to implore Boulder County to let them plant Roundup Ready sugar beets on county open space.
